Custard Glass - Also Called Uranium Glass

The uranium in custard glass is what gives it that creamy color and makes it glow under black light.

Custard glass was used to make many of the souvenirs sold in tourist traps throughout the country in the 1920's-1950's and there are a lot of these pieces for sale.  It makes pricing interesting, because in addition to the value of the glassware itself, you have the added variable of the place it commemorates.  The bidding on some of these souvenir items can get fierce.

The trick with finding custard glass for sale on Ebay is that a search on the term "Custard Glass" also brings back custards, which may not be what you want.  It looks like removing the terms "fire King", and "Pyrex"  eliminates most of the extras. Below are listed current custard glass auctions on Ebay.  Clicking a link with take you directly to that auction.
